The Supper Club Series – August Edition

Add to my calendar »

Womanhood and wisdom, one conversation at a time

The Delphine, Wednesday 26th August, 7–9pm

Welcome to The Supper Club, a brand new event series for 2026 from The Glasglow Girls Club and author and founder of the Glasgow Telly Fest, Claire Duffy (aka The Jackie Collins of Shawlands).

Set in the warmth (hopefully!) of late summer, this evening explores identity, inheritance and the quiet power women carry, whether it’s been passed down, hard-earned, or reclaimed along the way.

Inspired by recent reads in our Book Club but led by real, open conversation, this night is about womanhood in all its layers: the roles we’ve played, the labels we’ve worn, and the parts of ourselves we’re ready to call back. The GGC Book Club inspires the themes of our Supper Clubs, but there is absolutely no pressure to have read any books, just come as you are, ready to have some great chat amidst soon to become pals.

Think soulful discussion, supper club energy, and conversations that linger long after the plates are cleared.

What to expect:

🍽️ A relaxed supper club setting, with dinner and a welcome mocktail or cocktail included
💬 Thought-provoking but accessible table prompts (no pressure, no performance)
✨ Space to reflect, reconnect and share stories if you wish
💖 A warm, welcoming environment rooted in honesty and curiosity

PLUS a surprise gift to take away.

This night is about reclaiming identity, honouring lived experience, and recognising the magic women carry, even when we forget it ourselves.
