Ladies, I know that so many of you join the GGC community as a way of making new friends, so this year is all about collaborating with @ggcbusiness members to create workshops that bring members and community gals together, to learn new things and make new pals along the way.

I am so excited to announce we have partnered up with Jennifer McGlone from @brawwee_ and @thegateglasgow to bring you a series of bottle lamp making and arm knit a blanket workshops, complete with cocktails at The Gate!!

Not only will you leave with your quirky new self-styled lamp/ gorgeous arm-knitted blanket (their average retail price being more than the cost of the workshop itself), but you will also leave with a new skill under your belt and a handful of new friends.

What you need: For the Bottle Lamp bring your favourite empty bottle and half a metre of fabric to create your lamp and for the Arm Knitting just arms and blethers!

In this week’s Training Tuesday session for our @ggcbusiness Members we are delighted to welcome audience growth expert @nikihutchison to host an unmissable online workshop in advance of the GGC Business Glow Room virtual co-working sessions that will be launching alongside our new GGC Website later this Summer!

More on Tuesday's workshop: How to create content that is not boring which will be streamed live into the GGC business group at 11am.

Now in it’s 25th year, World Book Day was created by UNESCO on 23rd April 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading. As World Book Day founder, Baroness Gail Rebuck, recalls “We wanted to do something to reposition reading and our message is the same today as it was then – that reading is fun, relevant, accessible, exciting, and has the power to transform lives.”

Women to Men, Men to Women, Historical Bias & Feminism
TODAY! | 11am-12pm | Live of Facebook

We look at how perceptions through the ages have shaped the state of safety as we know it today. How has our upbringing, what we have learned through the decades and how we have been treated brought us to where we are today. How far have we come and how far have we still got to go?
We will be particularly looking at whether our male to female and female to male perceptions differ and if there is a crossover.
How do we change perceptions to make life safer for our younger generations?

Fancy joining us for the GGC’s second Escape Dinner (10th June, 6.30pm-9pm) created in collaboration with Van Winkle, eeek! Escape Rooms and our drinks partner Isle of Bute Gin? A completely unique ladies night complete with great grub, an exciting escape game and 1920s style cocktails!

However, disaster has struck! The cops have finally caught on to the pattern of distribution and all the supply chains ALE were using have been cut off. Your favourite place in town, Mharsanta, are now down to their very last bottle of booze! Nothing will stand in your way to win it and savour the last great taste.

Compete with friends against other dinner guests to win the Last Bottle. Can you and your teammates solve all the puzzles before anyone else?

We look forward to welcoming you at Van Winkle 18:30 for our live-action game. Please note the game will begin at 19:00 sharp and the sharing platters will be served at 20:00 afterwards.

If you have booked as a party of 3 or less then you may be asked to join another couple to complete a table. What’s Included?

As part of this package, you will enjoy a welcome tasty Isle of Bute handcrafted gin on arrival and a delicious sharing platter of ‘wee plates’, as well as your Escape Dinner Entertainment. The winning team will also receive a round of complimentary drinks to celebrate their puzzling skills! We also have a 2nd and third prize and we will tell you all about those on the night!

1920s dress-up is optional but is of course not essential.
