Pauline Muir – Weddings & Events Sales Manager
Pre pandemic, Citation was a popular bar and restaurant in the heart of Merchant City. Throughout the pandemic and amongst the many lockdowns, the business invested in the space, opening in July 2021 as an exclusive use wedding and events venue.
Best piece of advice I have been given throughout my journey is, people buy from people. Our sales team pride ourselves on our authentic and unique approach to sales and planning with our clients.
Our biggest goals for 2024, are to continue to spread the word that Citation is now an exclusive use venue and to continue to grow as an established private events and wedding venue in Glasgow.
The biggest challenge for our team has been the re brand of the venue. Glasgow, know and love Citation as the popular bar and restaurant that we were for 14+ years and our team now nip away each day at spreading the word that we are an exclusive use venue.
The venue can only be booked by wedding, corporate or private clients and often we still received a shocked reaction from customers when they hear this news, after 2 years.
The GGC membership can help us to promote the venue to the girls of Glasgow for private events, and weddings. We plan on promoting wedding fayres and other in house showcases to help spread the word. We hope to work with the club and its business members to offer the venue for business and networking events where possible.
