Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration behind it and when you launched it? For many years I experienced low self esteem, lack of confidence and self believe. One day I stood up for myself and I stopped blaming the outside world, and started looking inwards, only to find out that the only problem in me was my way of seeing myself, and that was something really hard to deal with. However my life changed hugely, my relationships, jobs and opportunities, even my relationship with my family. Today I continue learning and developing myself, and I am now a Life Coach. My absolute passion is when I find someone, particularly a woman, that like the younger me, doesn’t believe in herself or suffers from low self esteem. I find it so sad to see how many women switch off their “light”. There is not one woman yet with their “light off” that I haven’t been able to see an incredible potential inside, and I LOVE helping them shine brighter than ever before. To the point they change their lives. So after working for a couple of years as a Life Coach for the NHS, I decided to start my own Life Coaching Business, and aim for those people, particularly women, who need someone to hold their hand while getting closer to the “switch” that will turn their light on.

Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey? Done is better than perfect. If I didn’t launch when I did, If I didn’t leave my permanent post when I did, I would have never done it, and perhaps my dreams would be in a box underneath the bed.What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it? Healing. We are not always ready when we think we are, we need to be ready for the fear of failure, for the impostor syndrome, for the self doubt. Healing all that, propelled me to believe in myself more. I understood that when I realised that my DREAM IS BIGGER THAN MY FEARS. I just need to turn the focus away from the fear and towards the dream.

What is your number 1 business tip for success? Ask for help. I am not far into the field, just started, but I really needed and still need help to keep moving forward, either with another life coach, a business coach, a mentor, and/or a supportive environment that believes in your dream nearly as much as you do, for when you can’t find the strength to keep going.

What are the big business goals for 2023? Start a successful business that allows me stop working as a nurse forever. So I don’t feel I am working one day of my life! And perhaps create some online content/learning to increase confidence and self esteem easy.

How can the GGC Business membership help? I am hoping this is an empowering and supportive environment that helps me and motivates me to move forward and faster towards my goals, as working on my own can be really lonely.

What’s the dream? I love motivating people, my heart lights up when I can say or do something that creates a spark in someone else, and can help them moving forward towards their happiness and wellbeing. We are born to live as happy as possible, despite of all the problems and miseries that exist. And I would love to do this in the bigger picture, and spread this message as a motivational speaker, so I can get to a bigger audience, and get the world full of happier people. Sometimes all that we need is a pat in the back, a hug and someone that tells you that you can do it, that you can feel better with yourself and live a much more fulfilled life.

Shout out to another local business you admire? I don’t know many yet, I so far love One4 Growth’s progress, how Heather created a business with vision and mission, despite of the challenges during covid, and how this is helping her family life as well as her own dreams of buying a boat, and being away for long periods on this boat. That is certainly something to admire.
