Meet the Member – Klaudyna Berbec – Splatter Art Studio

Name, business name

Klaudyna Berbec – Splatter Art Studio

Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration behind it and when you launched it?

We opened the doors to Splatter Art Studio in Glasgow on 15th April 2023. The idea came from wanting to create something with my best friend Ellie Hair, something completely different. We wanted to build an experience where people could switch off from everyday stress, have fun, and be creative without pressure or rules. We loved the idea of combining art, music, energy, and self-expression into one immersive activity that anyone could enjoy, whether they’re artistic or not. Since launching, it’s grown into a space for birthdays, date nights, team building, hen parties, and people simply wanting to try something new.

Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey?

“Done is better than perfect.” If we waited for everything to be perfect before launching, we probably would never have started. Taking action, learning as we go, and improving along the way has been one of the biggest reasons we’ve grown.

What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges was learning how quickly a business evolves once customers start coming through the doors. We had to adapt constantly, from operations and staffing to marketing and customer experience. The biggest lesson has been the importance of listening to customer feedback and staying flexible. Instead of resisting change, we embraced it and kept improving every part of the experience.

What is your number 1 business tip for success?

Consistency. Social media, customer service, branding, showing up every day, the small things done consistently make the biggest difference over time.

What are the big business goals for the next year?

We’re focused on expanding the brand further, continuing to grow our studio locations, and hopefully launching an online store.

How can the GGC Business membership help?

Connecting with other local business owners, building relationships, learning from shared experiences, and creating collaborations is incredibly valuable. Being part of a supportive business community helps you grow both personally and professionally.

What’s the dream?

To build Splatter Art Studio into a recognised experience brand across the UK and beyond, creating spaces where people can escape reality for a while, make memories, and reconnect with creativity and fun. We’d also love to create more opportunities and creative spaces for artists to work from, as there unfortunately aren’t enough opportunities within the art sector.

Fave mantra to get you buzzed up for business!

“Everyone has their own superpower, you just need to recognise what yours is”

Shout out to another local business you admire?

A huge shoutout to Rude Cookies, an amazing Glasgow business that has built such a strong brand while staying authentic and creative.

Three fun facts about you!

  • I’m a true crime junkie, I listen to true crime podcasts every day.
  • I’m obsessed with coffee shop vibes and would love to own a coffee shop one day.
  • I’m absolutely obsessed with animals, especially dogs. My wee poodle Boris is family.
