Meet the Member – Kasia Barrie Interiors Raison Home
Name, business name
Kasia Barrie Interiors Raison Home
Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration behind it and when you launched it?
Raison Home Glasgow is a Personal interiors business specialising in bespoke kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. I launched the business because I’ve always believed your home should feel both beautiful and functional, not just something that looks good in photos, but somewhere that genuinely improves everyday life.
What inspired me most was seeing how much confidence and comfort a thoughtfully designed space can give people. I wanted to create a business that focuses on personal service, honest advice and designs that feel tailored to each client’s lifestyle rather than following trends. Since launching, the goal has always been to make the design process exciting, approachable and stress-free for clients.
Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey?
“People buy from people.”
That stuck with me from day one. Relationships, trust and consistency matter just as much as the product itself especially in an industry where clients are investing in their homes and putting a lot of trust in you.
What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest lessons has been learning not to do everything myself. In the early days, you wear every hat possible and it’s easy to burn out trying to control every detail.
I’ve learned the importance of systems, boundaries and surrounding yourself with the right people. Delegating and trusting others has allowed me to focus more on growing the business, creativity and client experience instead of constantly firefighting.
What is your number 1 business tip for success?
Consistency.
You don’t need to be perfect every day, you just need to keep showing up. Small actions done consistently build trust, momentum and long-term success.
What are the big business goals for the next year?
The next year is all about growth and visibility. I want to continue building the Kasia Barrie Design identity alongside expanding the client base for Raison Home Glasgow, grow our online presence, take on more full-home interior projects and collaborate with more local businesses within the design and property space.
How can the GGC Business membership help?
Being part of a strong local business community is invaluable. The opportunity to network, collaborate and learn from other ambitious business owners is huge. I think the membership can help create meaningful connections, increase visibility and open doors to exciting partnerships and opportunities.
What’s the dream?
The dream is to build a recognised interiors brand known for beautiful design, exceptional service and creating homes people genuinely love living in. Long term, I’d love to expand into full luxury interior design projects and create a business that gives both freedom and legacy.
Fave mantra to get you buzzed up for business!
“Done is better than perfect.” ✨
Shout out to another local business you admire?
There are so many amazing local businesses, but I really admire businesses that build strong communities around their brand and stay authentic while growing. Glasgow has such a supportive entrepreneurial scene and it’s inspiring to see local businesses backing each other.
Three fun facts about you!
- I’m obsessed with interiors and can’t walk into a restaurant or hotel without analysing the design 👀
- Coffee and a good playlist are essential parts of my working day ☕
- I genuinely love transforming spaces and seeing clients’ reactions when everything comes together that never gets old ✨
