Womanhood and wisdom, one conversation at a time

Nippon Kitchen, Friday 28th August, 7.30–9.30pm

Welcome to The Supper Club, a new event series for 2026 from the Glasglow Girls Club, hosted alongside author and founder of the Glasgow Telly Fest, Claire Duffy (aka the Jackie Collins of Shawlands).

Each Supper Club is an invitation to gather, slow down, and share a table with women you might not otherwise have met, over beautiful food, thoughtful conversation, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Set in the glow (hopefully!) of late summer, this evening centres around womanhood, identity, and connection; the stories we carry, the versions of ourselves we’ve grown into, and the strength that shapes us along the way. Just space to be yourself, exactly as you are to hear stories from others and to have right good giggle..

Alongside curated conversation cards (designed to take things as deep or as light-hearted as you like), this is a night that flows naturally, where laughter, fun, and connection sit side by side.

And of course, at the heart of it all… the food.

Hosted at Nippon Kitchen, you’ll experience a menu crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, including specialist imports from Japan and locally sourced produce. From beautifully prepared dishes to expertly paired drinks, every detail is designed to make the evening feel considered, relaxed, and just that little bit special.

Tickets

For this Supper Club, your ticket acts as a non-refundable deposit to secure your seat at the table.

Members: £12 (inc VAT)
Non-members: £15 (inc VAT)

The remaining balance for your meal – £25 per person – will be paid directly to Nippon Kitchen on the night.

So in short:
