Creative Collisions: Leadership in Times of Change

Add to my calendar »

What powerful synergies might emerge when leaders from diverse sectors converge during periods of transformation? That’s the spark behind Creative Collisions, an inspiring collaboration between The Melting Pot (TMP), The Glow Club and Scottish Women in Business.

Driven by a shared belief in the power of collaborative energy, this event invites Scotland’s leaders to step beyond the familiar and co-create responses to evolving challenges. This event is about more than networking, we’ll be sharing skills and experiences using deliberate, action-focused and facilitated talks and breakout sessions.

Our Ambitions

  • Share examples of “creative collisions” – those unexpected collaborations that are effective for both parties and create space for surfacing new ideas
  • Forge bold connections – our facilitated and inclusive approach to networking supports meaningful cross-sector connection, so you’re guaranteed to meet new people from surprising backgrounds
  • Prioritise Women in leadership across Scotland – hosted in Glasgow and with a follow-up in Edinburgh in 2026, we hope to knit together a resilient network of leaders

What to Expect

  • Insightful leadership perspectives on how creative collaboration can unlock resilience during change.
  • Facilitated breakout sessions, with a focus on sharing persistent problems and proactively discussing them.
  • Ideas for sparking ideas from unlikely partnerships and using “Co-creation” tools (like design thinking or appreciative inquiry) that help turn diverse perspectives into solutions.
  • Connection with new people, diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to action.

Why This Event is Different

This is not about small talk over coffee, it’s about creating a space where real collaboration, insight, and action can emerge.

Action over Agenda: Every part of the day is facilitated with purpose. From opening reflections to small group discussions, you won’t just meet new people, you’ll work with them on real challenges, surfacing solutions you can apply back in your own leadership.

Cross-Sector Sparks: We’re deliberately curating a diverse room: people from business, public service, social enterprise, and the creative industries. These “collisions” are where unexpected partnerships happen, because resilience in times of change often comes from fresh, outside perspectives.

Skill Exchange, Not Just Stories: Instead of only listening to speakers, you’ll be actively refining and sharing skills with peers. You’ll leave not only inspired but equipped.

Commitment to Action: We don’t want this to be a “feel good” day that ends at the door. Together, we’ll close with personal and collective commitments to change, so the impact continues long after the event.

Inclusive by Design: With support from The Melting Pot, The Glow Club, and Scottish Women in Business, we’ve built in accessibility, inclusivity, and facilitation techniques that make sure every voice in the room is heard, not just the loudest ones.
