Why We’re Buzzing About Bettii Presents – And You Should Be Too
We recently caught up with the brilliant Elaine Galston, founder of Bettii, who’s on a mission to make women’s health more visible, more talked about – and better supported (watch the full interview by clicking here). 🙌
After working in oil and gas, Elaine found herself mentoring a reusable period product startup… and from there, dove head-first into the FemTech world. She quickly realised just how many gaps still exist – from period care to menopause, and from gut health to pelvic floor support.
Her company, Bettii, is tackling one of the most overlooked barriers: how the hell do you clean a menstrual cup when you’re not at home?
(Spoiler: they’ve created a genius plumbed-in washer for venues like airports and offices 👏)
But it doesn’t stop there.
Elaine’s turning up the volume on women’s health with Bettii Presents – Scotland’s first event dedicated entirely to the realities of living in a female body.
🩸 From periods, PMDD and endo
🧠 To stress, heart health and bone density
👊 It’s about facts, not fluff – and giving women the tools to take charge of their health.
The line-up includes clinicians, therapists, innovators and founders. You’ll hear from experts on topics like:
✨ Cycle tracking & hormone health
✨ Endometriosis & PCOS
✨ Menopause & pelvic floor care
✨ Heart & bone health
✨ And how to self-advocate when no one seems to listen
It’s not just talks either — the day includes:
🧘♀️ Yoga, strength + Pilates
💡 One-to-one Q&As with experts
🩺 Free health checks (blood pressure, cholesterol, grip strength, balance)
🦴 Optional bone density scans (with on-site support to explain results)
🤱 Breastfeeding-friendly spaces + solo guest support from volunteers
Here’s why we LOVE it at GGC:
✅ It’s breaking taboos
✅ It’s evidence-based and inclusive
✅ It’s practical, empowering and overdue

Whether you’re dealing with period issues, navigating peri, or just want to understand your body better – this is your day. You’ll leave feeling seen, heard, and informed.
And as Elaine told us:
“Learn how your body works. Track what you experience. Seek evidence-based information. And don’t stop asking questions.”
We couldn’t agree more.
