Meet the Member – Laura Steventon – Inner Reset Therapies

Name, business name

Laura Steventon – Inner Reset Therapies

Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration behind it and when you launched it?

I run Inner Reset, a holistic therapy and psychotherapy practice that helps clients overcome phobias, grief, anxiety, sleep issues, and emotional blocks using BWRT and a range of tailored techniques. The inspiration behind it came from my desire to provide fast, results-driven support that addresses both the mind and body, drawing on over 25 years of experience in holistic therapies and more than a decade as a psychotherapist. I wanted to create a space where clients could experience meaningful change in a safe, supportive environment, often in just one session.

Inner Reset officially launched in 2012, with the goal of combining evidence-based psychological methods with holistic approaches to empower people to regain clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom. Since then, I’ve been focused on creating targeted programmes that deliver rapid, transformative results while maintaining a holistic, client-centred approach.

Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey?

The best advice I was given at the start of my business journey was: “Focus on the outcomes your clients want, not the services you provide.”

At the time, I was very focused on the techniques I knew hypnotherapy, BWRT, bodywork, energy work, therapies, and psychotherapy, but this advice reminded me that people aren’t buying a method, they’re buying relief, confidence, and transformation. Shifting my focus to the client’s experience, their goals, and the results they seek has guided every decision I make from the way I design sessions to how I market my services and it’s been instrumental in helping me create a business that truly connects with people and delivers meaningful change

What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my business journey has been building visibility and attracting clients when starting from scratch, especially in a field where people often don’t know what BWRT or holistic therapy entails. Early on, I realised that even with extensive training and experience, having a strong skill set isn’t enough clients need to understand how you can help them achieve real results.

I overcame this by shifting my focus to outcomes rather than techniques, clearly communicating the benefits of my services, and creating accessible ways for people to experience them, such as free consultations, targeted workshops, and rapid-relief programmes. This approach not only helped me but also built trust, credibility, and word-of-mouth referrals, which are now the foundation of my business growth.

What is your number 1 business tip for success?

By understanding what your clients truly want and clearly communicating how you can help them achieve it, you build trust, create meaningful connections, and naturally grow your business through referrals and repeat clients.

What are the big business goals for the next year?

My big business goals for the year are focused on growing my client base, expanding my service offerings, and establishing a strong, recognisable brand. Specifically, I aim to:

Increase client bookings through targeted marketing campaigns, both online and offline, to reach more people who can benefit from rapid-relief sessions for phobias, anxiety, sleep issues, and emotional blocks.

Develop signature programmes that combine BWRT with holistic and energetic therapies, offering clients structured, results-driven pathways to transformation.

Enhance brand visibility and credibility, including professional social media presence, optimised landing pages, and partnerships with complementary wellness businesses.

Build long-term sustainability, creating a business model that allows me to help more people while maintaining high-quality, personalised care.

These goals are designed to deliver meaningful results for clients while growing a professional, scalable practice.

How can the GGC Business membership help?

To build community, as I have moved up from England 4 years ago and need to build my community here.
