Tell us about your businesses, the inspiration behind it and when you launched it?
I have been a self employed since 2010. You can read loads about me on my website to get into all the details. Following redundancy from hospitality management and getting so many knockbacks from job applications, I thought long and hard about what to do.
It had always been my dream to be a self employed massage therapist, and redundancy meant I was eligible for so much help from the job centre!
The support I got from them, and then in turn from the Glasgow business community was amazing.
So… Here we are!
Best piece of advice you were given at the start of your business journey?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
What has been your biggest lesson/ challenge faced so far and how did you overcome it?
Lockdown was very challenging, I wasn’t eligible for any financial support so I kept busy and wrote a book about menopause,!
What is your number 1 business tip for success?
Never take your eye off the ball from your social media and marketing.
What are the big business goals for the next year?
Learning new therapies and being brave working across two locations in Glasgow. Get really good at my online shop, learn more party tricks on Canva.
